Tarik has over 20 years of experience teaching guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. All ages and levels are welcome. Tarik has taught students as young as 3 and as old as 90.
Lessons are offered in person in Olympia, WA, or virtually via Facetime or Zoom. Lessons can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes weekly. Tarik can accommodate a wide variety of scheduling needs.
An individualized curriculum is developed for each student, based on the best elements from different classical, jazz and rock methods, as well as original materials. All musical styles are welcome.
Topics discussed include traditional notation, tablature, posture, hand position, ear training, scale technique, arpeggio technique, improvisation, ensemble playing, and much more.
